NEW! HATCH "FANATIC" LARGE ARBOR FLY REELS - A gorgeous new frame and spool design really sets these reels apart. The new design is lighter, just as durable as ever and best of all, your old MONSOON and PULSE frames and spools are completely interchangeable with the new FANATIC. Reels are machined from T6061 aircraft aluminum and anodized for a lifetime of use. The real story is the drag system. HATCH fly reels use a STACKED DISC DRAG. Discs are made from stainless steel and Rulon. Each reel size has a unique disc size and combination. The size and number of discs determines the EBS (Effective Breaking Surface) in square inches. The 3-PLUS has an EBS of just under 2 sq. in, white the 9-PLUS, has an EBS of nearly 6 sq. in. This type of breaking system creates smoother, more durable drag and virtually eliminates start-up inertia, and never needs lubrication. SPECIFY COLOR: Anodized Black or Clear/Red.
