I was gifted a book “Spring Creek” that kept mentioning shock gum attached to the guides leader. I looked it up and came across this product. Landed a nice rainbow on a specific barbless hook I’ve been tying with that I’ve had trouble landing fish on when using. The elasticity acts as a nice buffer to keep the line tight. The knots are kind of big and obnoxious, but did not impede casting distance or accuracy.
