Description

FISHPOND JACKALOPE ROD CASE - Ditch the rod tubes and just bring the socks! Securely fit more rods with less space in this almost indestructible carry system. Lightweight hexagon interior walls create the greatest protection for multiple rods. Molded and zippered top and bottom. Lockable zippers on both ends. Clear business ID holder. Removable shoulder strap. 420D recycled nylon exterior. 30" length, holds up to six 4-pc rods (smaller 0-5wt), larger rods with fighting butts/larger grip rods will get 4 per case. Max length 9-ft.

Beautifully built rod case, but seriously overstated capacity.

I am a fan of fishpond products, and this case is just super well built. But the description says the capacity is 6 rods and I have to say this is quite overstated. It barely holds a 10, 9 and 8wt and that is only by loading from both ends to offset the handles. It might hold more ultralight 2-4wt trout rods, but that would be pushing it.
But these rods are safe and I wouldn't hesitate to take them anywhere packed like this. I'll just need another case for the next three rods...
